Welcome to the Johnstown Elementary webpage. On behalf of the entire staff, we take great pride in welcoming you to your elementary school. It is an honor to work in such a great community and be part of a school system that values growth in every child.
The school year is off to a great start! We've welcomed many new students and the returning students are enjoying their second year at our new school. We look forward to partnering with families as the year continues.
Fall is a busy time with many fun events. One of those is the PTO Walk-a-thon, which is our largest school fundraiser. This year, students will walk at Johnstown Elementary to raise funds for school activities and additional playground equipment. The event will take place on September 28, 2018 (rain date October 4, 2018). Thank you to all of the donors and volunteers that help to make this event such a huge success!
Students in grades K-5 have taken the fall i-ready assessment for reading and math. The information gained from these assessments help us plan for each child's instructional needs. The boys and girls worked hard to show us all that they know. Copies of each child's fall i-ready scores will be sent home in data notebooks on October 5, 2018.
School fees are due by October 31st and can be paid at school or online through ezPay using your student’s ID number. Fourth grade fees are $61.50. All other grade levels are $50.00. https://www.spsezpay.com/Johnstownmonroe/login.aspx School lunches may also be paid using ezPay.
As we head into fall, we look forward to all the learning opportunities and special events for the students at JES!
