Greetings, JMS Family!
The 2021-2022 school year has exciting opportunities in store for your children. An incredibly knowledgeable and caring staff of educators is anxious to guide you through this journey called, middle school. While there might be a few bumps in the road, we are certain there will be detours and stops along the way that take us to some amazing places. We are truly committed to developing strong and independent learners by communicating clear learning targets and high expectations, supporting students to examine their reasoning while engaging in critical content, and providing specific feedback as we celebrate individual successes along the way.
One thing the JMS staff is looking forward to this year is seeing the students’ smiling faces. We truly missed seeing their faces last year. It is our privilege to work with your children, and getting to know and understand them involves really listening to their verbal and nonverbal communication. While last school year presented many challenges, we believe the JMS staff and families worked assiduously to keep student safety and well-being paramount and, in doing so, provided precedents during an unprecedented time.
While there is no perfect road map for this trip through juvenescence, the JMS staff is equipped with much knowledge and many years of experience. We are committed to being the students’ guides every step of the way. We will support them academically, socially, emotionally, and extra-curricularly. We encourage you to reach out any time you have questions or concerns. We are here for our students and their families. We look forward to partnering with you to make your JMS experience both advantageous and enjoyable.
