• JHS College Credit Plus

Due to the Coronavirus, the annual College Credit Plus meeting has been cancelled. In place of holding a face to face meeting, we are asking families to review the CCP PDF below. We are also asking families after they have reviewed the CCP PDF, to locate Intent form below. The required form is the 2020-2021 CCP Intent Form. This form does not lock students into taking a college course.

This form must be completed by April 1st, 2020. If you are unable to complete the form online, please contact me.

If you have questions about the information in the CCP PDF and/or how to complete the required online form, please email me at damerrill@jmk12.org.

On Wednesday, March 25, 2020, I will start a live Facebook video at 6:30pm. This is an opportuinty for you to ask questions live and get an immediate response. During this live stream, I will go over the process of how we will complete applications, take placement tests, and register for classes. I appreciate everyone's understanding and flexibliy. The Facebook profile you will want to follow is @jhsjohnnnies.

    2020 CCP Intent Form - due April 1st, 2020

College Credit Plus is Ohio’s dual enrollment program that provides students in grades 7-12 the opportunity to earn college and high school credits at the same time by taking courses from Ohio colleges or universities. The purpose of this program is to enhance students’ career readiness and postsecondary success, while providing a wide variety of options to college-ready students, at no or limited costs to students and families.

Important dates for students between February and April (for participation during the upcoming school year)

    • Talk with your school counselor. Discuss your interest in taking college courses and how it fits in with your overall academic plan and career goals.
    • Apply to a college. Students are responsible for meeting deadlines, submitting application forms, and meeting criteria for acceptance into College Credit Plus. All students must complete an assessment exam to determine eligibility for participation.
    • By April 1 each year, public school students must notify their school counselor if of their intent to participate in College Credit Plus during the upcoming school year by completing and submitting the Intent to Participate form. After April 1, public school students will need permission from the school principal to participate.
