• Welcome to kindergarten!!!!!!

I am looking forward to meeting all of my awesome new students!! I have included a "Meet Mrs. Shaffer" form so that you can share some things about me with your child before school begins.

    Meet Mrs. Shaffer!!

Please complete the dismissal information form on our school website as soon as possible (if you have not done so already). This is imperative information, as I will need to know how your child is being dismissed from school on the first day and moving forward! I do need to know your child's dismissal plans before the first day. Please make sure to email me directly with dismissal questions or changes. Thank you!

Dismissal Form for all in-person learners

You will also need to complete all information on Registration Gateway for each child you have at JES. If you have not done so already, the link to this information has been included. Your child's student ID and login information will be included with your letter that has been mailed from the school. I will send home a form for emergency information to keep on hand in our classroom on the first day of school as well.

Please watch my virtual open house video with your child. I hope you enjoy it!

    Virtual Open House 2020!

Here you will find a document with a lot of information about our classroom! I like to keep parents well-informed, and I hope you will find the information helpful! You will receive a weekly newsletter in your child's take-home folder as well!

Beginning of the year information letter

I will be using Schoology, our district learning management platform, to upload resources, information, class work, and videos that go along with the content we are learning at school this year! If you have any problems or questions about logging into Class Link or Schoology, please feel free to email me. There will be more information coming home with your child during the first weeks of school! Thanks so much!

Make "Ready Confetti" for your student!

Traditionally, Kindergarten students would receive a bag of "Ready Confetti" from their teacher at Open House. Because we are unable to provide that this year, and we so cherish this beloved tradition, we encourage you to make "Ready Confetti" and surprise your student with it, as if it was delivered from their teacher. Open the link below for the "Ready Confetti" poem and recipe.
