Dear JLA Students,

I am super excited to meet you all.  

Here is a link to our first Zoom meeting, which will be Monday, August 31st at 9:15 am. 

It is my understanding that the link won't work until around 9:15 Monday.  You will be entering a Waiting Room first.

Please make sure that your speakers and camera work, and if you have never used Zoom on that computer, make sure that you have downloaded Zoom before the meeting by going to zoom.us.  

At the Zoom Meeting:  This will be a time when you can introduce yourself by telling everyone (so far, there are only 6 people in our class:)  your hobbies and anything else you would like to share.  If we have time, we may even have a pet show. The purpose of the meeting will be for us to get to know each other and discuss my expectations as well as understand what projects you'll be doing. There will be a few small assignments to complete for our next Zoom meeting, which will be on Wednesday, September 2nd at 9:15. You will be able to find the link by looking on my website again like you found this one.  After Wednesday, hopefully we will be able to start using Schoology Conferences instead of Zoom.

Enjoy your last few days, hours, minutes, etc. of freedom from school and all the work.  Although this year will be different, I am confident that you will still have a good year.  Who knows?  It just may be your best year yet!
